How to play the 8 Ball Pool game

First select whether you want to play against the computer or against a friend (2 player). The sound can be toggled on or off with the speaker button located in the upper right corner.

If you are playing against the computer, you can select the difficulty level.

The difficulty level buttons

On the first startup, the game will give a short introduction to the user interface. Move the hand to reposition the ball. A line will appear to help you aim your cue stick. The line will also show a prediction of the ball trajectories. Drag and release the stick to shoot. The white sphere on the bottom left side of the screen represents the white ball and the red dot represents the point of impact for the cue stick. The cue stick will by default hit the center of the white ball, but you can pick a different point if you want to spin the ball.

8-Ball Pool Rules (Simplified)

Objective: Pocket all your assigned balls (stripes or solids) and then the 8-ball to win.
Setup: Rack the balls in a triangle, with the 8-ball in the center.
Break: The first player breaks; if they sink a ball, they continue playing.
Choosing Groups: The first ball legally pocketed decides if you're stripes or solids.
Turns: Players take turns. You must hit your group of balls first. If a ball is pocketed, you keep playing.
Fouls: Fouls occur if:
- You don't hit your group of balls first.
- A ball goes off the table.
- The cue ball is pocketed.
Winning: After clearing your group, call your shot and pocket the 8-ball legally. Avoid fouling when sinking the 8-ball.
